4 x XP-G with 7.4v???

I've only used taskled drivers for led lights and with the VF or 3.3v you can't run 4 or 6 xpg's with a 7.4v pack....Are there any reliable drivers that you can do this with?? I only need a high, med, low, off type driver.....Thanks!

Quads need 4-5 amps to make them worthwhile.

You need a boost driver like the Maxflex and with four XP-G's at 1 A you would have 4 x 3.3 Vf = 13.2 volts which is more than enough above the 8.4 volt 'fresh off the charger' voltage of a nominal 7.4 pack. I have never run mine above 1 A. But I have heard that the real sweet spot for XP-G's is 1.2- 1.3 A, and it looks like they are about 3.45 Vf at that current. So four are 13.8 volts. You will need to handle the heat of the Maxflex and the LEDs. If you can keep it cool, you are looking at about 1350 lumens out the front.
