Swapping the LED on a Thrunite Catapult V2

I have a Catapult V2 SST-50 flashlight.

I really want to upgrade to the XM-L LED. I contacted Thrunite to see if they would supply me with the parts but they will not (I asked for an XM-L head for the V2).

Firstly....is the reflector/head setup different with the XM-L LED or is it just a direct swap of the LED board?

Secondly, if it is just a swap can anybody give any advice or guidance on how to do this or where I may be able to source the board/LED?

I really want to try to avoid spending more money on another Catapult when I already have one!

Sorry....posted in wrong forum. I have now sold the V2 and bought a V3 instead - seemed easier!
