I'm thinking about picking up a spare twisty switch for my Elzetta. Just wondering if what a failure rate on their switch maybe, and is there any reason for a spare?

Had a switch failure once, went from having to fiddle with the switch to make it go to no go at all in one evening... just threw some small metal junk on the inside of the tail switch so it would be 'on' aka short circuited non-stop. Worked good enough for the time and when i got home i just replaced it. Should work on any tail clicky.

Twisty are the least likely to fail, if they do, its most likely dirty inside.

But is doesn't hurt to be prepared, if the switch breaks, some tin foil and E-tape will provide a temporary fix

The Elzetta switch is very durable. Keep it clean and lubricated. Keep an extra light or two around just in case. (Two is one, one is none.)
