    Default BRASS / COPPER E to C (E2C) adapter *** SHIPPING ***

    Hello Everyone,

I need to make some more E2C adapters and was asked if I could make one out of Brass and Copper.

Before I just make one or two out of Brass and Copper I figured I would find out if there are any others that would like a Brass or Copper E2C.

BRASS PRICE: 35.00 (Min of 5 pcs need to be produced)

COPPER PRICE: 45.00 (Min of 5 pcs need to be produced)

If everyone on the list for a Copper E2C can pre-order/pre-pay I will purchase the material to make these reality. I have created a page on my store to just that.

To Pre-order / Pay please click here!

Ok. I have been asked about making these out of copper as well. So I have added the copper to the same thread.

Please post if you are intersted.

The copper adaptor would be perfect for a few of my high output / heat generating drop-ins. Is there any way to come up with a rough estimate of the cost? I am definitely in for one, but I might get more, and have them Cerakoted to match my hosts.

I have posted prices on the first post. It all depends how many get produced!

These will be the Finned E2C (E-C) Adapters.

I'm interested in one. But I'm unsure of the pros and cons of each material. Can anyone care to explain?
    Tnx

Copper: Excellent heat conduction, heavier than brass and much heavier than titanium, softer than brass and much softer than titanium, oxidizes dark brown and eventually green, doesn't require special lubrication.

Brass: Very good heat conduction, slightly lighter than copper but still heavier than titanium, harder than copper but softer than titanium, oxidizes tan and eventually dark brown, doesn't require special lubrication.

Titanium: It conducts heat , lighter than brass or copper, harder than just about everything, oxidizes clear, requires special lubrication to prevent threads from binding.

Unobtainium: Excellent heat conduction, lighter than titanium, harder than titanium, doesn't oxidize, makes you rich and famous, doesn't require special lubrication. (OUT OF STOCK)

I would say copper is more valuable than brass, mainly because it's so rare in the flashlight market. Titanium is actually probably more common than copper as a flashlight material, but it's still a distant third to aluminum and plastic.

Please add me to the list for one in brass.

(and as many as I can get in Unobtanium, I LOVE that stuff.)

It seems like the Brass will get produced. The copper might get produced. I might have to make 5-10 copper just to put up on my store so the couple people that want them will get one. If I order copper it won't get here till tomorrow. Which is when I will finish the copper E2C's off. HA-Black and HA-Natural will go to the platers tomorrow.

The copper ones will not get made unless there is a min of 5 people on the list. Sorry, material cost is very high right now for copper.

Hi, you can add me to this list:

    COPPER PRICE: $36.00 - 45.00 (5-9pcs produced $45.00, 10+pcs produced $36.00)

Hopefully that is enough to go fwd with production.

    Tnx!

It's just a funky reflection from the flash/reflector off of the black 0-ring.

Oops, it may actually be the leading edge of the glass lens !

Hey, you know, you have to build the box-house before you can build the castle with flying buttresses.

The few copper E2C's that were paid for will be shipping tomorrow. If you would like to get one of these E2C (E-C) adapters you can get them from my store.

They were "donated" by Fireworm F1 hosts. The bezel rings originally had six blunt teeth on them, which I have since shaved down using a bench grinder.

I really like them. I have a similar setup but I'm looking for something ti or stainless steel p60 bezels like yours.

If stainless steel is acceptable, I think Solarforce has something that meets your needs. There may or may not be any Fireworm F1's left for sale online. If nothing else, I'm sure TnC can make you one.
