Hi There
Just a quick question re switch on times for HID setups
Have converted a lightforce spotlight to HID with a kit from Deal Extreme.
It all goes well but once turned off takes quite a while before i can switch it back on ,,,,is this normal or am i doing something wrong???
Any help greatly appreciated

May cheaper ballasts do not have the capability of producing the the higher than normal KV ignition voltage necessary to fire a hot, higher internal pressure lamp. The bulb must cool so that internal pressure returns to a lower psi requiring a lower KV ignition voltage. Try re-striking within a second or two. Sometimes, it's the most difficult to re-strike withing the 3-30 second time period but it will re-strike immediately after turning it off.

Can you provide the info on the kit you got from DX? A non-functioning link?
