    Default New Products at Peak

We have just finished machining Stainless Steel QTC battery compartments
for the 10180 and 10280 batteries. These are of the knurled Lug style.
The Cost will be $20.00 each including the QTC pill. Shipping from Peak is
by USPS at $5.00 per package domestic.

The QTC makes the 10180 battery very useful with long run time at low power
and the ability for extreme light output when needed in a very small package.

We also now have 90 degree angle head adapters and straight extenders for
the Eiger/Matterhorn heads. Also for the Shasta/Baltic Sea heads, the El Cap
    heads and the Logan/McKinley/Caribbean/Atlantic/Rainier heads.

The Eiger and Shasta adapters are 5/8 inch square for both the 90 degree and
the straight units. The El Cap and Logan adapters are made from 3/4 inch square
material. These units are in both Aluminum and Brass and are in an unfinished
state just as they came off the machine. We have installed the circuit boards
and contact points so they are ready to use.

We did not finish or anodize these because the user may want to drill and tap
them for mounting or to install a clip. As an example, they can be mounted on
the side or front of a hard hat for use as a head light. The adapter goes
between the standard Peak flashlight head and the battery compartment. With a
Logan mounted on each side of the hard hat you will have a lot of light at full
power or dial the power output down with the QTC for long run time. When finished,
unscrew the head and battery compartment from the adapter and put the flashlight
back in your pocket for EDC.

The adapters will work with the new QTC battery compartments and the older non
QTC units and almost all of the lights that we have made in the last 6 years. We
have about 30 of the 90 degree angle adapters and about 6 of the straight units in
each size. These are priced at $20.00 each until we run out.

Contact Peak for these items at sales@peakledsolutions.net or fax at 1-623-582-0526.

I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me a PEAK flashlight, or give me the dark.

That's great news! It is as though you have read my mind as I was wishing for a run of 10180 & 10280 bodies.

email sent. I'll take an Eiger 90, and an ElCap 90 please.

I believe they are a cube of material, where one flat has a threaded male end for attaching to the battery case, and another flat is threaded female, so the head can fit.

Curt, how much material depth is there for threading?

Can these be modified so the QTC pill fits in the adapter?

Curt are there mirrors or prisms in the 90 degree adapter? Just wondering how similar it is to the 4Sevens Prism

One obvious advantage is the Peak 90 degree adapter is made of aluminum or brass where the 4Sevens is plastic and my first one I bought is already cracking on the side that fits on a Quark bezel...

Curt, how far away are the spare 17500 QTC key bodies in brass as well as the battery adapter kit for it?

The 90deg adapter doesn't have any optics. The head itself is turned 90deg, so it's quite different from the 4sevens solution.

Email sent for two 90 degree angle adaptors for the logan. On the new QTC logan medium optics this will be unbelievable! The holy grail of headlamps!!!

Yep, I'm still here. Have not had the time to hang.

Shipped Bob at RMSK some 90 degree angle heads, 2 in brass and
6 each in aluminum for the Eiger, Shasta, El Cap and Logan sizes.
Remember these are unfinished on the outside surfaces. If you mount
them onto something you need to drill and tap them on the mounting
surface that you want. Then I would recommend that you file the other
edges and corners and sand the surfaces for appearance. These work
with QTC or non-QTC flashlights. The position of the tapped holes are
up to you except for where the circuit board for the head is and the wire
that attaches the positive battery contacts together. The insides are
open so that you can see where these locations are. This is a do it your
self operation to fit your specific requirements.

Also sent him some push button momentary switches in brass and stainless.
These will work with the older non-QTC and the newer QTC bodies. They
are shipped with the battery contact point and spring for the older bodies.
For the QTC bodies, simply remove the spring assembly from the switch.

The Stainless Steel Eiger Lugs are made for the shortest AAA battery that
I could find, hopefully they will work with the longest also. If there is a
length problem with a long Alkaline AAA, a small hammer to the top button
of the battery will take care of that. One full turn of the head is 1/32 inch
or 0.0312 inches or 0.793 mm. Don't hit the top of the battery too hard!

Any update on the 17500 battery adapter kits?

Also, will Bob be able to fill orders for SS Eiger 10180/10280 tubes?

    +1

I was hoping to order a couple Logan QTC 17500's once the battery kits are available but only want a single order to avoid multiple shipping charges.

Any idea if these adapters will be plastic or metal?

Got my 90 in brass for the el cap, it's lots of fun so far! Curt, what number/size O-ring should I use in the slot above the threads? I assume one is supposed to be there.

    No o-ring really needed.

in this case "want" trumps "need", those same priorities led me to buy the 90 in the first place.
The turning is much looser without the silicone in there. not that I'm leaving this out in the rain but it also seems the o-ring helps with water resistance, in addition to part retention.

The added tension from the o-ring also provides a more precise control of the QTC.

Patiently waiting for the El Capitan QTC and the adapter for the Logan QTC 17500. How long do I need to continue being patient? Like Beacon of Light mentioned above, I am waiting to order them together to avoid the extra shipping charges.

Do the new QTC's now mark the end of single power level production altogether? Or at some point will (for instance) "Aluminum 17500 pocket body Logans in power level #6" be available for purchase again?

Well, I was actually thinking about a #4 power level Logan 17500 SS. The #4 power level should be a decent amount of light on the higher voltage 17500 cell. This is kinda an "all purpose" level with good brightness and runtime.

With QTC - Sometimes adjusting output is not so convinient when you need light quickly. You can ramp too high or low and have to fiddle to get to a level you want. The QTC doesn't always ramp the same and is inconsistant - at least in my experience.

If you haven't seen it, Bob has the 17500 Logan HA Level 4 on sale for $41.95.

^yeah if you ever want a specific single power level other than max, you'd better get it now. And with a special like that it'd almost be worth the purchase even if just for the head, then finding your body of choice later. END OF THE LINE!
