Yours does look a lot nicer than the Cyros, I'm just not a fan of the added diameter since the reflector doesn't also gain in diameter.

I like that rendering a lot (Post #58), both the head and the tailcap but the head is sweet. I like how the wide channels go underneath the head fins.

This is really different from the renderings in OP but I like it. Post #58 is the mad max version, and 3-2 is the james bond version

Given the choice I would go mad max, but nothing wrong with rendering 3-2.

For those into trits I bet they would look great running in those channels in the head underneath the fins - they would be totally protected but visible - not sure if its even possible but I think it would look great.

I was just playing around with the head a little for better heat dissapation for the High current drop-ins. I enlarged it a little and added more fins. Here is just a quick rendering. Not sure if I am going to add this to the maybe list.

    Hi Chris,
I am all over this one! I know it is not cute, but it is bad @ss. Please make at least a few of this design. I'll pre-pay for two today.

I see the trits on the tail cap.

Chris, I am in for one (maybe two!) with extra cooling capacity--additional fins in your rendering. I am thinking of a quad setup but want to be able to cool things down a tad without dunking it in the lake!

I am loving this design. Could you tool the battery holder or body part like Jet Beam does on their titanium models?

I have no idea how difficult or easy it is, I just like the look. With the cooling bezel and that tail I am thrilled, with a diamond pattern on the body... I'm sold. Dude, you gotta' get 'em made!

Less than half the price..... Then put me down on that list sir.

Could those horizontal lines/cut ins on the head somehow be continued down the body, because the tail and head have both have horizontal lines making the the body look more lego from another light - you could add twice as many so as to not need to line up when head is tightened up - hmmm like a kid in a lollie shop with to many choices.

I think Glenn is on the something there with the lines looking out of place.

I like the new head it has a look of it's own.
How about the new cooling head & tail cap being only marginally bigger than the body

WTB: DEF1, DEF2 & DEF3A Z44 Bezels with logo’s ? Any logo, Old Z44 bezel's HA or Black good $$ paid for mint ones the ones with no bezel ring lexan type early version, Laser products Z41 tail caps HA or BLK mint also.

I also like the look of the new rendering because the head and tail diverge from the body and this looks a lot more natural for a flashlight than the original 26650 version in my opinion.

With the enlarged head, it could definitely be machined to accomodate a D36 drop-in, instead of a P60, which would result in a tighter hot-spot with more throw. I wish that you could consider this (maybe we should stump together to send a nailbender D36 drop-in to Chris?)

I think this version would also look great in Ti.

I'd Pay for a D36 dedomed DD SST90 SMO 3 level H/M/L and have it sent to TnC - if Chris would want to try one (and I get to keep it of course, I just pay for the host) and I would need to get a spare D26 head too.

Latest head / body is growing on me - at first I did't like it. Having a D36 head in addition to a D26 head would be great.

Lanyard attachment? Looks difficult with the tail.

Well, Sorry I posted that new picture. This new version can't be made. It was just a fun rendering.

Ok. It really can be made. It will cost more for the horizontal grooves since I will have to put it in the mill, after the lathe, which adds more operation. So if I did the horizontal slots on the body also that is adding yet another mill operation. I was trying to keep the cost down for everyone when I first started designing this light with something that looks nice without too many different operations which add to the cost.

This new rendering that I did still uses the standard D26 style front on the battery tube. I believe there is an adapter that can convert a C series to an M Series isn't there? So you would be able to use a D36 head on a C series body with a C2M Adapter.

I could always try to make a D36 Accessory head for this also.

Here is how I see it so far. It seems the newest design is the most popular so far so as of right now it will probably be this style that will get machined.

I can still put a lanyard hole in the tail cap without any problems. It will be on the horizontal milled slot towards the back.

Trit slots will probably be better on the tail cap now. Either on or in between the horizontal milled slots. I MIGHT be able to put them vertically on the front of the head right behind where the crenulated bezel will screw on. If someones understands what I am talking about and would like to photoshop or paint the trit slots in where I have indicated that would be great. I just don't have the time right now to do that.

Glenn, If you did that I would make an accessory head that will accept the D36 Dropin. I would send you the D36 back to you assembled in your head. I can't really do a rendering yet of what the D36 head would look like since I don't have a D36 drpin.

Chris, if you also were to do this design for the Ti 26650 light, I think you'd have quite a few interested.
I'd be one of them, for sure.

    OK sounds great thanks Chris.

I was wondering if someone that lives close to Chris could arrange to order the D36 dropin through nailbender and ether have it sent to Chris, or send it on? might be easier from your end than from Oz - of course I will put PP into there account. and maybe I should go a XM-L? its just an SST90 can reach up to 1500 lumen$ and dedomed throws far.

I was suggesting to take inspiration from the other design in such a way as to aesthetically tie in groove patterns from the bezel and the tail.

But if you are worried about people copying your designs, you should talk to this Ronac guy cus he copied your bezel...
    http://www.oveready.com/surefire-par.../prod_220.html
Also the people at Solarforce have copied one of your designs and are selling that too...
    http://www.sbflashlights.com/Solarfo...witch-p55.html

Or maybe I'm giving you crap! Dude, I'm not telling you to infringe on someone else's copyright or trademark. Its a slippery slope here. Lines, tooling that can tie your switch and bezel designs together would look more pleasing than the horizontal lines do.

I apologize for the sarcasm earlier. I get dismissed a lot by self important doctors at work, it stings more coming from you, as you are someone I consider one of my peers and that I actually respect.

Hopefully we get back to something like the rendering of 3-2, I liked the sleek look of that one.
