You mentioned that you are using a cottonpickers charger for charging - what one do you have? I want to get the quad, but the lowest charge rate is 90ma. Is this too fast for the 10250s? It would be a slightly greater than 1C charge rate. I know this isn't recommended generally, but can you confirm with the manufacturers optimum/maximum charge rates for the cells you will have for sale/use with the Torpedo? Cottonpickers is going to have his work cut out for him...

I (think I) have a double w/display (90/180ma) & single no disp (90ma)
The 10250's are fine @90ma, and rated up to 160ma for charging.

I dont know about everyone else, but just the fact that you keep us constantly updated and reply to every comment is enough for me to buy the light for that reason alone when it comes out. Its nice to converse with the builder. Means a lot to me anyway I imagine others feel the same way.

I am afraid that I will have to get all three tints initially and then decide which one is my favorite.

I will then buy a few more.

Not too much unused space (maybe a few microns) in the current design,
but maybe going forward?

You guys may be happy to know that while there is no actual trit slot, there are places for up to four trits to go between the torpedo fins and I suspect we'll see a few with some light coming out the back too! A little epoxy and you're good to go, with protection from the fins, they won't be going anywhere.

Hopefully, we can have more than 1 person share the first lot

but just received a stack of new components for something else Im working on,
and boy some of these are tiny.....



They almost look like they are just printed on the paper.
These are smd resistors.... tiny.
Some of the smd LED's I received are about the same size too....

Very tricky little buggers to work with but was able to get some light happening out of the leds

They almost look like they are just printed on the paper.
These are smd resistors.... tiny.

$60 Black & Decker toaster oven was the best money I ever spent when it comes to SMD stuff, particularly DFN/BGA packages. I've no doubt TGWNN has a plan in mind though.

I need to make a custom PCB but no time to mess with fancy stuff so probably going to cut ultra-thin strips of copper and glue them to a board
There's one tiny li'l microchip though....with multiple pins, hopefully it doesn't burn

for reflow soldering. smd parts like this can hardly be soldered by hand, they are way too small.

Oh you can go even smaller. Those look like "0603" sized components. Technology has gone down to "01005" sized which are just over 1/16th the area. Of course it is probably impossible even with a microscope to solder such a small component down by hand without a hot air gun - particularly without overheating it.

Just wanted to make sure you knew for your next generation of thin/small pojects
