My brother and I run our jon boat down a narrow slough early in the mornings. any recommendations for a hand held spotlight that can follow the narrow banks to clear hazards? must have internal battery
thanks

What distances are you talking?
I have some images and video I can load up taken over water using a Fenix TK35 led at 200 yards lighting up boats and a cheap 35W HID spotlight lighting up the far bank at 260 yards but I'm waiting for a cheap 65W HID torch to turn up over the next few days.

I did it over water as I'm looking for a boat light as well but not prepared to throw lots of money at a light exposed to a salt water environment.
Cheers

I have a 23 foot boat and use the Stanley HID spotlight for docking at night. Runtime is limited to maybe 30 minutes unless you have it plugged into a 12v socket or attached with alligator clips to your battery. Otherwise I'd second the recommendation on the tk35.
