Has anyone tried converting an older D or C cell lantern to Li-Ions? I have two nice old florescent lanterns [Coleman and Sharper Image]. Both are well built so I'm wondering if rewiring the batter compartment to take parallel 18650 cells would work. Hopefully someone else has given this a try and can tell me if its doable or if fireworks are in the offing...
