Any good Surefire C-series to Maglite adapters?

I´m thinking of building a weaponlight for a longrange rifle, and I´d like to use the head from a D-size Maglite and mate it to a Surefire body with the possibility to use an aspheric lens for maximum throw. Are there any of these available or ever done? ...or do I have to make a few just for the sake of it?

I was thinking more along the lines of Mag to P-series. And if possible with an integral heatsink for LEDs

Your question has been asked before and no one has found, seen or made a M@G D or C head to SF "c" thread adapter. My thought was to find out if the ID of a M@G C head is less than the OD a SF 6P bezel. If true than it might be possible to mate the two. Then you'd need to adapt a P60 drop-in to a M@Gsized reflector.

If you take the Z44 bezel off of a 6P then slide the neck into a Mag C head you'll see that everything pretty much lines up. You just need a sleeve that is threaded at 20 TPI on the inside to thread onto the 6P body and 28 TPI on the outside to thread onto the C head. I've been asked to make just such an adapter, but, the requestor pretty much disappeared after that.

Absolutely possible to make but high cost - low interest prohibits the production.
Please check:
$urefire E neck to M*g "C" and $urefire M neck to M*g "D"

Old thread but sill.. I wonder rather if it is possible to adapt z44 to maglite c so that d26 drop ins could be used. I like the side switch so much.

You can use LumensFactory C-M adapter and then M(sf)-M(mag) by Fivemega
