rayfoss has an 80mW on ebay, probably in web store too. Olike does too. Careful, though, they are TO-38, not TO-56.

New 1W diodes are too expensive.

There are MULTIPLE outlets who sell Casio projector pulls. We are all thinking these are made by Nichia in High Volume and sold to Casio (since each projector uses 24 Laser diodes (5.6mm)) The new diodes which you can browse over Nichia's website can be located. Last time I asked for a quote on a 445nm laser diode with an output of 80mW or so it was WELL OVER 1200USD. For now, the use of the 445nm (A140 Projector Pull) is the best bet. I have used literally hundreds of them, sometimes when you are lucky to get a laser from the center of the wafer, you get a highly efficient LD and with proper cooling, be it active air or TEC, you can get them to lase at 1.8-2.0 watts. Check ebay and you can PM me for a few other I know for well extracted diodes

Search google for dtr-lpf and you will find a 50.00 blue straight from a new projector, the person is dtr and the forum will be lpf.

several places now sell new diodes. Nobody sells new 1W diodes.
