I have gifted my parents various lights over the years. My mom had carried this Fenix L2T in her purse. I arrived for the holiday to discover it didn't work anymore. I took the head off and saw the tube's internal problems right away. I'm a pretty strong/strong grip guy but I had to take a couple of pliers to the thing to get the tailcap off (which did damage the light, but oh well).

What do you recommend? I wonder if a particular size/gauge of firearm cleaning wire brush would be beneficial.
