My SF C2 with stock P60 module was originally working with the SF batts... Until i popped a set of freshly charged 3.0V RCR123 into it. It flashed for a split second before going dead. So question here is... Where did it go wrong? :(

I <<POOFED>> my very first P60 in exactly the same way. Some companies advertise them as replacements for CR123 cells--but they are not! You can find a Lumens Factory bulb that will work with your rechargeable batteries.

P60s can be had on CPFM for less than $10 if you shop around. I'm thinking of getting more P60s as time goes because people have been taking them out and putting in "P60" drop-ins. They are actually designed to operate at 5.5V and function very well at 5V, draws about 1.1A. Makes a pretty nice work light connected to an Iomega switcher, when it goes :poof: well... another $10 puts it back in its place. For lamps with equivalent outputs, the prices on cpfm are hard to beat
