Re: Aspheric lenses sale USA/Canada

These are the same lenses that I've been selling for a while under the name 'ahorton'.

las3r is buying from me and reselling with my full support.:twothumbs

This should bring the prices down significantly for Non-Aussie buyers.

Compare las3r's prices (above) to my prices:

27.2mm Aspheric Lenses

1 - $35 each ($35 total)
2 - $22.5 each (
$45 total)
3 - $16.67 each ($50 total)
4 or more - $15 each ($60 total for 4)
10 or more - $10 each
($100 total for 10)
20 or more - $8 each ($160 total for 20)
100 or more - $6 each ($600 total for 100)

As you can see, las3r's prices are much better in small quantities. :twothumbs

Also consider that they're not flying all the way from Australia, so you'll get them much quicker! :twothumbs

Do I need special bezel ring to fit this aspheric lens on a Surefire stock 6P Z44 Head?or I can easily swap the stock lens?

plus if i put a malkoff p60 dropin in a 6p host, is your lens a plug and play type of kit? im thinking of going the same route as kif.

Fits in most p60 hosts. Check your dimensions. You'll need at least 27.3mm diameter inside your head.....may be someone has the ID of that flashlight ? and ill try to keep records of every flashlight i hear of that this lens will work in :)

Re: Aspheric lenses sale USA/Canada

For 'plug and play' you need the spacer kit as well as the lens. These are sold out right now. The easiest way to make your own adjustable kit is to drill out the reflector and raise the LED about 8-12mm in the pill.

The most common thing to do is to simply replace the original lens in a Surefire. Often this makes the aspheric protrude slightly, but if you don't like it then you can always get a longer bezel. The lens itself is very strong and I have never seen one break while installed in a flashlight.

i'm in for at least 1 if you stock the kit. Maybe 2 or more if the price is right.

I don't have one myself, but the Solarforce L2 and L2P have been some of the more popular hosts for these lenses.

i had Pm'd a well none member here on CPF and will not say who unless he does not mind but this is what he said about the Solarforce L2p

It could fit, but it would be loose. Probably can be centered though. The lens area on the SolarForce is 30mm I.D.

And the lip that the lens would rest against is 25mm, so your lens would sit in there, it's just going to be a little loose, and will need centering as the bezel ring is tightened in place...

No I don't mind you saying it was me...

I happen to have a SolarForce host right on my desk, and the lens sits on a rim inside the head. That rim is a 25mm opening. (I.D.) The space for the lens O.D. to fit into, is a 30mm I.D. area.

So that means the lens will fit in there. And I'm sure that it can be centered with very little effort...
