Nighthunter II Strobing.

I have a Nighthunter II that is in fairly good shape with the exception that it strobes/pulses when powered on. I have checked the battery and am getting 17.3 VDC across the terminals. Looking at the inside of the light there are two contacts with holes for a third (should there be three?) and would love to get some help with this since Xonics aren't very much help on their sites and I shudder to think how their phone in customer service is since they seem to cater mostly to the military ( I am in the Army, that may help) and I do not know if they will entertain troubleshooting questions to a regular joe off of the streets. Any help or tech support would be awesome.
