Whoa! Greetings! From another person in Northern VA! Looks like at least two new batch Makos will be sent to the DMV area !!

pjandyho is right. Reservations are going fast! Probably somewhere in the teens(13-19) by now. Reserve one today, if you don't want to miss out on buying it direct.

    Howdy Folks,

I'm glad to see you all are happy about the LED - I've got a comparison shot between the two beam colors below:

The wall these LEDs are being beamed on is not white, and the leftmost beam (being used in the Makos) renders the color accurately, whereas the one on the right washes everything out. I will see if I can get another shot or two this weekend on more common items to illustrate the difference, too.

These LEDs are pretty similar in color to the Neutral White Aeons that I made a few months ago. I'll have some more photos soon.

I was happily ignoring this thread until you just had to make it a neutral.

    Damn you.

    PP sent.

I love the tint of my neutral Aeon, this makes me even more excited for the new Mako!
    Thanks, Matt

You had me at 4500K. I'm in, and will send the $50 PP deposit shortly.

Thank you very much for being patient with all my questions. (coyote too )

This light sounds like a winner.

Edit: PP sent 12:00 PM PST Sunday.

    Hello Everyone,

Just a quick update to let you know there are eight lights left for reservation. Once these are claimed, that will be that until after the run is complete - I expect to have a handful of extras at the end of the run, which will be offered on a first-come first-served basis then.

I'll keep you all posted as things move forward.

Hi Enrique. This is awesome. I'm working on how I can do this. This + the Aeon offer are both awesome. I over extended on the LS20 the other day, but I'm working out in my mind how to make this work. Love the lights

    Hello Everyone,

There are five lights left available. Just to be clear, if you're interested in making a reservation, your PayPal payment claims it - not any posts here or e-mails. I'll post a notice once all the lights are claimed, so you don't have to wait for confirmation on whether or not any of these last units are still available.

It looks like the boards should be done a little later this week, and I'll have more news on the machining status soon.

    Thanks folks!

    Enrique

Looks like these will be gone by the morning! Only two left (unless they've already been claimed by people not in this forum)! Act now or take a gamble for one of the extras!

Thanks for the updates Enrique! The 4500k looks good! This will be perfect as my backup/sometimes primary light. Neutral tint, common cell & good battery life!

***Edit: Gone already! Y'all slept. :]

    Howdy Folks,

All gone, now we all wait while the machined parts get finished up - I'm expecting those in early February. I'll keep you all posted as things move forwards.

For those of you who didn't get in on the initial reservations, there's a decent chance that I'll have a few extra lights after the run is done - if there's any overage I will offer them up here after the initial batch ships on a first-come first-served basis (no lists, please).

    Thanks folks!

    Enrique

    Awesome Enrique.
Just a suggestion, perhaps give those who prepaid first dibs on the extras. I may want another one.

If anyone that prepaid has a change of heart, I didn't make it in time (don't have propane in the dog house so I avoided it too long). I am willing to reimburse you for your spot

Interestingly enough, I count 52x "PP sent" (& probables) in this thread for 75 total lights reserved.
CPFers reserving outside this thread (via e-mail) or non-cpfers on the website? Just idle curiosity before turning in tonight ...

Edit: I see that there seems to be no mention of the new Mako on the Muyshondt website ...

If Enrique accepts my suggestion, and I have the opportunity to get another one, it's yours.

Kestrel: It's not a requirement to post your interest here to reserve a light. As for not being posted on the website, I have no plans to add it in. The last batch of Makos wasn't there, neither are my old CR2 Ion and Nautilus - I am not making this a long term standard product for it to be worth the time to design a new page around when it would be taken down in a matter of days. In the interest of full disclosure I did keep five of the 75 lights to do something with later, but didn't really see a need to have to make specific mention of this until your post...

As for transfers or otherwise, I've tried to keep this as simple as possible to avoid any logistical hassle, and I'm disinclined to try to manage people trying to switch off to others, etc. The reservations are filled, and until the run is complete, there are no more lights available - afterwards any extras from the run will be released on a first-come first-served basis with no preferences on previous purchases or otherwise.

    Thanks folks,

    Enrique

    Hi Enrique,

I will try to grab one when the extras are released. Certainly not trying to make this harder to manage for you - I apologize if anything I said is coming across that way as it was *NOT* my intent. Just trying to get one when I was a little too slow to work it all out

However, if anyone that has one reserved has had a change of heart, when you get it (needs to be mint still) please PM and I'll reimburse you / purchase it from you if I didn't manage to get one of the extras listed (or it is before the timeframe when extras have been listed).
