Default Rochester Institute of Technology's Big Shot info

RIT has a photography school and every year they do "The Big Shot," a night shot of a local site that's illuminated with lots of volunteers and flashlights. This has been going on for 25 years or so.

Here's an article about the upcoming shoot to be done in May 2012 at a small, local amusement park.

    Bigshot

Google "RIT bigshot" to see some of the earlier projects.
"Show them a light, and they'll follow it anywhere..."

With the Big Shot, RIT photographers take long-exposure pictures, with the shutter of the cameras opened anywhere from 30 seconds to two minutes.
30-120 seconds (ISO200 & f/22) is the exposure for most of my low light & tritium light images. That will be a fun trip.
