Hi! ;)

Today i received the awesome copper Tri-Edc from Mac (Mac's Customs).

I already have many lights, but this is the first one in 100% copper. With the
time it will get a patina, and will look even better.

This is an awesome light, outstanding build quality and a very useful light.
512 real lumens on high, 3 levels of brightness, with an also useful mid and
low for longer runtimes. The beam has lot of spill and enough throw for
walking the dog.

So this will be my new EDC, next to my Spy's. So thats a great honor. :)
And rightly so, the Tri-Edc is worth it, every penny i spent for this light.

Specs:

-Integrated McClicky Switch and Silicone Boot
-Tri Cree Module in Neutral or Cool White
-German Quality Mineral Glass Lens
-Chemkote coated Light Engine
-3-Mode Driver High-Med-Low
-O-Ring Sealed Throughout (Water Resistant)
-512 *Real* Lumens in a small package (Real Lumens is actual Out the Front Lumens not LED Lumens)
-3.4" Long Under 1" Diameter 2.5oz 18350 cell + Clip *Titanium adds approx 1 oz*
-Single R123 / 16350 / UltraFire 18350 Li-Ion Cell Powered

this it what this beauty looks like :)

Man those things look good, I'm really excited for mine to show up. I went with no clip as well, I'm thinking I'm going to use a leather lanyard similar to your set up.

Now don't get me wrong, I really like the looks of this light, it seems to be very well made, but how can such an expensive light only use a cheap 7135-based driver from dealextreme/kaidomain? There must be much more efficient alternatives?

I use what works. I have used boards from *EVERY* flashlight board maker and always had failures. Now that I switched to the ShiningBeam driver I have had ZERO Failures. I use components that work which is why these boards go into my lights. Would I like to have a "US" made driver with the same drive levels and reliability......YES but I doubt that is going to happen.

This is news to me :)

Woops, I misinterpreted your post that said once they're gone, they're gone. I assumed that meant no more copper tri edc's, that must have been referring to the Christmas special prices on the four that you already had made up.

Oh, and have you gotten my last few PM's? I'm heading back to school this weekend and need you to send it to the new address I gave you.

Thanks! Can't wait to see it.

Sounds familiar .... this is how all misinformation starts.
