Hello!

After my first custom projekt, the Bead-Bomb, i decided to start with a
new project, the Glowworm, a tritium-lantern in a similar design...

The design was developed and worked out by a good friend (THANKS Ben)
of mine and I will do the rest... :)

This is a tritium-lantern made of titanium (what else?!) housing a 3x22.5mm
tritium vial hold in place by a screw; means you can change the vial if
you want a new color or when it get darker. ;)

The design is very komplex, but looks very cool IMO.

There will be again different designs, beadblasted and i will also anodize
there in some nice colors, perhaps again in a nice toxic green.

Specs: 50mm in length and 10mm in diameter

That is how it will look like:

and for size comparison ;)

Nearly 50 holes, allow a view from each angel and provide the best
compromiss between protection and brightness ;)

Hi! ;)

No pricing and ordering here please.

The attachment point is fixed, because its massive
titanium in one piece. But should not be a problem
wearing it at a necklace. :)

I love the design but I think it would be too large for me. It is almost as big as a AAA flashlight, which I already have on my keychain. I have your Bead-Bomb, and that size suits me better (although the trit could be brighter). Other than as a piece of jewelry I couldn't see carrying this...

Yes! Love it, and since I missed the Bead-Bomb, this will be perfect. Great work!

Titanium is very lighl-weight, is better to anodize and stronger. I cant tell about
the weight at the moment. In my experience these are not as heavy. Ok when you
already have an AAA light on your keycahin, you need to think about the size. ;)

BUT if its a smaller version, you cant put a large vial in it, and you cant change the vial
with a screw, like we can do with this one. We had the intention to build a Tritium-Lantern
that has a cool design, maximum brightness and is sueful too.
Anotehr point, if you have a smaller lantern, you always need to put an splitring on it,
which one also has a wheight and takes room. Our lantern already has an intergrated ring. ;)

5 Tritium Bead Bombs will certainly want some of their new relatives to come live with them. I won't order and I won't ask about pricing here. I'll just say 'bring it' Toby!

Oh, comments. I really like the unique design, well protected tritium capsule and still lots of places for the light to shine through. The appearance of so many little dots of light will be a treat for the eye and a nice contrast to just a long segment of glowing tube. Being able to easily replace the trit is a feature of the best such pendants. I wonder if you plan to bore out the inside of the hex screw holding the trit in, like the very incredible Krypto-Lite pendants? I hope those are helpful comments. :)

Second edit; I just read the second post. I like how what I perceived as a feature of this lantern is actually a stated design objective. Want.

Hey much thanks for your comment. ;)

The screw will not be bored out. There is enuogh place
for the screw. The vial will be fit exactly to the hole and
will be puffered at the top and the bottom, after that
the screw will be screwd in. :)

Still thinking about using some loktide for the screw (middle).

Looks awesome Toby, it reminds me of the Krypto-Lite I have, the only thing that concerns me is how much light will be able to show through. Even with the relatively large holes on the Krypto-Lite Chinese Lantern the light is certainly much less visible than a bare tube, for example. I will be down for one though, I like the beefy attachment point, it looks solid like the one on the 4sevens Revo SS.

Sure, if you would use only polycarbonate it would be brighter.

But the intention was to design a diffizil titanium tube with the best
compromiss between protection and brightness. This will glow bright,
bright enough to use as locator for example. :)

There are 48holes with a diameter of 2mm, that will provide a good brightness. ;)
