Enlighten me PLEASE!
One of my biggest regrets in this life is letting go of my Ti PDS. However, I recently picked up this Haiku XR-E used for a good price and I've been really happy with it. I've got my eye on a Mule now. Some really great collections and lights in this thread. My only one for now:

Nice Steel Flame to go with that Gizmo!

Wow, that light has travelled! It was picked up by JDBoy, a buddy for about 20yrs, over on USN for me a while back and I loved the finish and the only reason I traded it to BMCGators was because of the option to ad a 2x123 pack down the road. Beautiful light. I've been EDCing the polished one daily since I recieved it! Wish I had switched from Surefire to McG's sooner!

Very nice. That bronze anodized Sapphire is really pretty...
Nice color combo Barbarian, that is a clean Aleph you have there.

Just for fun, I had my new high CRI Haiku splash anodized. The blue/deep purple splash finish, combined with the diamond etched clip, definitely gives a very unique appearance.

Thats awesome. Who did the work.
SwissBianco. He's here in GA (all this time, I thought he was in Switzerland!). He can do several different colors, but I opted for a more subdued blue w/natural Ti. My next McGizmo that's en route (high CRI mule) is also going to be going to him to let him have a little bit more creative freedom and see what really unique colors he can come up with.
Thanks, I may have to have him do something for me.
I told Don a while back I'd post pics of the PD-S he gifted me a few years back... I'm embarrassed to say I haven't had the time 'till today:

Happiness is having a high rate of fire.
For a long time I've looked at the inside switch collar of the Haiku & thought about a "see through" mod. PEU designed a beautiful 1.5x5mm stepped bezel some time back:
I've never measured a PEU bezel but it appears to be about 0.100" thick. The PEU bezel inspired me to study the tail on a Haiku. It measures 0.150" thick, just the right amount for stacking a 2x6mm over a 1.5x5mm. Measured, drew, measured, measured, measured ... & cut.
Five 2x6mm go into the front collar, five more 2x6mm go into the outside tail & five 1.5x5mm are placed inside the tail shroud:
On the next one I'll move the slots a bit further to the rear & mill into the angled face. That will expose more of the 1.5mm vial & make it easier to see from a direct rear view.
IMO the one feature that would make this even better is a polished metal button that would pick up the reflection of the inner vials. Haven't a clue how to do that or even if it could be done but the effect would be stunning.

There is such an influx right now of machinists, modders and anodizers doing fantastic work it's blowing my mind. So many cool options, so little money. Keep it up guys!
McGizmo Haiku Review Mac's Tri EDC Review MY LIGHTS!! Why buy a cheap bright light when a dim expensive one will do?

As most of you know my equipment is all manual control. A CNC mill would knock that same light out in under an hour instead of the fours hours it took twisting dials. Every CNC shop that I partner with will run that part as long as there are 50 lights to mill![]()

I used to be afraid of the dark. Now, the dark is afraid of me.
Why is the Sapphire battery tube dark while all the others are white? Is it that all the other lights use a lithium cell while the Sapphire uses a lead-wrapped battery?
