Everyone has their Grail McGizmo. For most it is McLux III Ti-PD or the Ti-PD-S; a true original and pinnacle of awesome simplicity. It is an absolutely beautiful light. But, my true Grail McGizmo has to be my LS20.
This is no ordinary LS20. About a year ago I was able to purchase a mint LS20 with some major work planned. First I took the challenge upon myself to mod the flood LEDs to Warm White and the central LED was upgraded to a XP-G R4 5C1 neutral tint (about 8 solid hours of labor). At this point a beautiful light but missing one thing - multiple levels. Off for the Centauri mod it came back literally perfect - truly the light most people wish they could have. A low level warm flood light for general navigation and then three increasing levels of throw coming from IMO one of the most nicely designed McR reflector. In fact the only other light out there that can offer a similar feature is the Tri-V.
I made the mistake once of selling this light. Faced with major regret I contacted the new owner a few months later and he was gracious enough to sell it back to me. Woohoo! It now takes a very special place in my collection as one of my top 2 lights along with my Tri-V.

Interesting zanzan.
Is it a straight emitter swap?
Hi Benchiew,
Yes,Footprints of cree xp-g and nichia 219 are same.
So,nichia219 emitter can replace directly to cree xp-g.
