Green XR-E R2 ?

Can someone please tell me if one of these are the right led. They're not labeled well.

I have the HS-802 and wanting to put in a green LED. I believe It has a XR-E R2 led. This is the flashlight now. One with the O-ring, one without, just to show.

The first one looks the same in the picture but I can't really tell.

As far as putting it in, it sounds simple. Thermal paste below it and solder the + and - wires.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm very new to this.

You are correct, the LED in your light is a Cree XRE. The first link you listed is for the correct one. The problem you are going to have is that the green XRE comes on a 20mm board. The existing one in your light appears to be a 14 or 16mm board, therefore the 20mm may not fit. If your careful enough you can re-flow them and swap the green XRE onto the current board, then re solder the connections and your done.

yea, first link is right led, wrong star, you need to reflow it, chances of finding green led on right star is small,

I have beltsanded the DX green Cree 20mm stars to 16mm with success several times. You could possibly use a dremel. Use extreme care as domes are fragile. If you need more than a couple, reflowing would be a better method. DX sku 20331 list a k2 luxeon but ships with a green Cree and has a p60 with a 16mm star.

I went ahead and ordered the led. If the star won't fit in that area I'll use the dremel on it.

I have a green p60 dropin similar to that in dx20331. Its a Solarforce dropin with r2 led. I could probably just scrape that led off and glue it back to the 802?
