So I snagged a Novatac Special Ops when the prices bottomed out a few months ago and I haven't really used it for much. I love the fit and finish and the form factor of a nice 2x123a. My wife uses it when we walk the dogs, but it's a little underwhelming to say the least. I'm wondering if anyone here has any ideas on a mod (or someone who does Novatac mods I could send it to) Possibly even someone who can build out the LED/board to a make a drop in?

I've heard about XM-L and K2 mods being done, but unfortunately, very few people here mod the Special Ops. Are there any step by step guides available? I'm almost convinced with my minimal electrical and soldering skills that it's probably not easy enough for me to undertake. :)

Yeah +1

If I could get a warm tint XML or hi cri XPG in mine I'd be really happy.

I've seen a thread for the storm, would it be the same process?

I've done Neutral XM-L swaps on The NT 120P, Storm and worked on a Classic. That's the way I would go. PM incoming

I think it would be the same process or very similar, I know that the Storm and Classic are the same exact modules.
