Surefire LLC has opened a new batch of patent lawsuits in 2012 regarding patents they own.

Is is a sad state of affairs when other manufacturers want to shove product
out the door and steal all the hard work and engineering the SureFire did years ago

search this site for public information
http://www.rfcexpress.com/search.asp

put 'surefire' as a search term for more information

This post should go to CPFmarketplace, but it is down now

eagletac, 4sevens, jetbeam...get ready for more to pop in. Surefire lawyers
are jumping on this hard

Re: Makers, modders, check what you are doing and if you are stealing Patents

Wow. That's unfortunate (for both parties.) I actually like those other companies products much more than Surefire.

127,

A previous thread on this subject has already been closed by the mods...it would behoove other members to refrain from posting, and let this move underground (when it comes back online). This can be touchy on the main page due to advertisers, etc.

Here is my post from the other thread:

There has now been extensive discussion of this news in the CPF staff forum. The thread has been restored to view and will remain closed here on CPF, but it has been decided it is too important for it to be relegated to the Underground.

Therefore, if someone would like to start a thread in Manufacturer's Corner on CPFMarketPlace, this will be allowed.

Surefire may be mentioned by name as it was Surefire who initiated the legal action, but you are asked NOT to name other manufacturers or dealers unless you have had their explicit clearance to do so. As the thread will be in their "territory", it should be assumed they will speak for themselves if they wish to.

Unfortunately CPFMP is currently down. As soon as it is back up, someone may start a thread there. Greta is giving updates on progress with CPFMP; let's hope it will soon be fixed.
