budget headlamp: mini-mag plus headstrap

Got a shipment of stuff i ordered including an impulse purchase of a nite-ize head strap for small-ish lights -- like the mini-mag. I also ordered an LED drop-in for my son's mini-mag. I put the two together this morning and walked around the house with the light on to see how the combo works. Obviously, there are better head straps and better lights, but for the cost this combo would be pretty useful for the occassional time when I need to light something up in front of me while both hands are free.

My favorite budget headlamp: Irix Icon II, can be had for $20 if you watch Amazon closely.

Mini Mag + Niteize was my first headlamp too. that was like 15 years ago. i still have that Niteize. i use it with a Zebralight now.
