Ask to the experts about 18650 new mha capacity

I make a search in the forum and I can not find a thread to help anothers to know about the new mha in the 18650 batteries.

Right now the high capacity is;

3100mha in panasonic
3000mha in sanyo

I will like to the expert use this thread to keep us update...

Info about protected circuits, chargers and news will be welcome as well...

The 3100mah Panasonic are the best out on the market today until they release the 3.4 and 4.0 AH batteries in a year or two.

The 2900's are more than fine. Very minor differences between run times.

3100mha is the last capacity launched to the market, I think that right now is a good moment to buy 2450 or 2600 models in a low price

Depends, if you are looking for protected batteries the 3100 is probably the best to look for, some sellers has lower the price on them.

Shadowww found a datasheet, the 3100s are 4.2V to 2.5V. Sweet

Actually Panasonic 3100mAh is 4.2V just like 2900mAh (according to it's datasheet)

AW now has a 3100mah protected 18650 as well. I am reallly keen on the upcoming (confirmed) 4000mah cells! That would mean great runtime as well as a higher discharge current, up to 8 amps!

But 4000mAh's are scheduled for 2014 IIRC, those that'll come out relatively soon will be 3400 mAh ones. But don't expect them to be purchaseable from AW or any other dealer any time soon - first few months they'll be only available to very, very, very big customers of Panasonic (such as laptop manufacturers).
