Thread: 4Sevens Flashlight Put-Together...

    Default 4Sevens Flashlight Put-Together...

I'm looking to get a small pocket single AA flashlight, with a halfway decent throw, so I sent an email to 4Sevens, and asked themv this:

"Is it possible to take the AA2 Turbo Head, put it on a single AA body, and add a Flat turbo tailcap to create a working light?"

They told me yep! Does this seem like something reasonable to do? Maybe replace the single AA body with a single CR123A body?

    Thanks

Perfectly reasonable. As long as you're putting the right voltage into the head and it threads on the body, there shouldn't be a problem. I'm close to getting a standard Quark 123^2 tac. head to go on my TurboX.

Is there any source for these parts besides the MFG? I've googled and only came up with threads on here about stuff like this or links to 4sevens' website...

4sevens produces the lights, and a few other places resell them, but not all the kit bits.

Buy the bits from 4sevens themselves, its easier to deal directly with them than through a third party. You won't find them cheaper (or much cheaper) anywhere else, and like AnAppleSnail said, you can get the individual parts from them. Warranty and postage are two more reasons to go with them directly

I did that. Here's mine, except this one is a Turbo X head. OOHHH YEAH! haha

My 4Sevens "POCKET THROWER" you have to use a 14500 cell though, for maximum punch. I tried a regular AA and it couldnt get past moonlight mode. The 14500 has better runtime than the CR123, might as well get the AA tube, unless you really want it tiny-er at the cost of run time.
