So I received my rcr123 batteries and they are a little longer than the cr123s and I cant close my flashlight. Is this right? I thought they would be the same length.

It shouldn't be. Unprotected RCR123A should have the same dimensions as a primary CR123A. Protected RCR123A should be a little thicker, but definitely not longer.

What brand RCR123A did you get?

Ultrafire 16340 3.6v. Poop. At least I got them from Amazon.com and they should take them back. Both of them together makes it so I cant screw shut the light. It is a 4 sevens quark 1232 turbo.

Go with AW cells. They are expensive, but definitely worth the investment if you value your light.

That's what I hear. I had them in my cart then saw the ones on amazon and tried to save a buck. Obviously didn't work. Well I guess I'll be getting the AWs.

Just wanted to follow up. I got the AWs and they fit perfectly and work great. The Ultrafires have been returned to amazon. Thanks for the help.
