Battery/Spacer Bored 6P Questions!

I am getting a 6P bored with a bored extension for it. I plan on using a stock Z44 head with a P61L until I can afford to buy a more expensive/better drop in like:TorchLab L1 Triple XPG - Single Level or a Malkoff M60. I am going with a Shorty ZeroRez twisty which adds an additional 15mm to internal length. I will be able to use (2) 18650 batteries in the torch with that. My conundrum: I want the option of using (1) 18650 in the torch without the extension and without using a different switch/tailcap. Could I accomplish this with 15mm spacers, and if so how many? I am new and absorbing as much as I can but it is daunting with all the configurations that the websites like Oveready offer!

Assuming by extender that you mean A14 (longer than the A19), the dual cell set up will be fine.

But you are correct, putting a ZRS equipped tailcap on a 6P will yield 80mm in battery length.

In that case, a 15mm spacer subtracts the 15mm added by the ZRS, yielding 65mm in length.

Just make sure that the spacer is plastic coated, not solid metal.

I am glad I asked this question because I was confused! I was under the impression that a 6P with the A19 would take (2) 18650 but it doesn't it takes 18500. I am wondering, is there a place that I can find what mm SureFire body parts are or what combinations of what batteries will fit in 6P/9P/12P tubes? Jeeeze, just when I thought I had it all figured out! The main things I guess I need to know is the length in mm of a 6P tube a A19 and a A14 extension respectively. I would like to know for future reference.

When talking extenders, I find it easier to use 'cell units', a cell being a CR123/16340:

3P - 1 cell
6P - 2 cells
9P - 3 cells
12P - 4 cells (theoretical)

ZRS - 0.5 cell (approx)
A19 - 1 cell
A14 - 1.5 cells

16340 - 1 cell
18500 - 1.5 cells
18650 - 2 cells

So a 6P with A19 is 3 cells (9P) and a 6P with 2x A19's is a 4 cell.

A 6P with an A14 splits the difference at 3.5 cells. The ZRS closes the gap.

I was just now vigorously scribbling tube and extensions on a piece of paper with battery lengths to try and figure this out! You are such a big help.

Just a bit confused with what your dropin is, I know of a P60L, a P61, and an M61L but not a P61L ?

3P - 1 cell
6P - 2 cells
9P - 3 cells
12P - 4 cells (theoretical)
How about the 7P/7R? :p

Also, I seem to recall seeing an A20 or A21 extender, does that ring any bells with anyone? And the A13 extender. Now that I think about it, let's see if AngelOfWar drops by with his vast SureFire extender knowledge to confuse everybody, lol. ;)
