So I am still loving my stonewashed Alpha. So far the nicest of my substantial collection. I have two unrelated and slightly random questions for others, however:
  • The nickel plating tarnishes in a predictable fashion over time. I sort of like the way it looks and I'm not immediately inclined to do anything about it. However if I were to want to polish the light, what is the best way to go about it?
  • The instructions indicate that the battery compartment should be accessed by removing the head. The head has a lot of threads and I am lazy (yeah, that lazy). Also when disassembled that way the bottom of the driver board is exposed. Is there any downside to removing the battery by unscrewing the tailcap?
I realize these are anal retentive questions but I'm just that kind of person
