Haven't seen a thread on this yet, so this is for all the weirdos, creative types, and those with a sense of humor out there. That should cover pretty much all of us in one way or another. :nana:

For months on end now, every time I see "ANSI", I can't help thinking of rhymes like ANSI in your pantsy, or acronyms like A Nice Sizeable Instrument (try to keep the Freudian comments to a minimum... lol). ANSI schmancy, dancy with your ANSI, the list goes on.

Because the weirdest of things will give me an idea for a new light, I'm now planning on getting a small, pocketable ANSI rated light to mod just to name it ANSI Pants.

Who else has had these, ummm, inspirations? Even those named Nancy can post about ANSI!

A fitting end to this thread I suppose.

Not as many of us as I thought.

Edit: guess it didn't strike your fancy?

I need motives to produce emotives

The ANSI motives weren't lighting any votives

Hence the lack of Fancy ANSItives.

Well, on a slightly related note . . . .

When Fenix had their L0P-SE model flashlight,
it would always remind me of " Floppsy, Moppsy, and Cotton Tail ". :)

-- and --

Whenever I see anything about the battery chargers named Maha,
i always think about The 3 Stooges !

" Maha -- Ah-ha "

" Niagara Falls ! ! ! "

" Slowly I stepped, inch by inch . . . "

Surely, I can't be the ONLY one ? ? ?

I recall a poem written in the DOS days of the '70s or '80s. It used ANSI, NANSI, YANSI, etc. It rhymed many of the named standards of the day. I wish I could find it. I think I saw it in...one of those old things...a book.

In my head I always read li-ion as 'lion', like the big ferocious kitty. I have to be sure not to pronounce it that way out loud to someone or else I'm sure I'd get a strange look. Stranger than the look I'll already be getting for talking about battery chemistries.
