    Default Simple, quality EDC

First post, but I've used this great forum for a lot of research. So thanks to all the anonymous posters that have helped me. Hopefully you can help me again.

My ancient Surefire E2 incandescent has served me well, but it's time for an upgrade. After getting a Maelstrom, I realized what I've been missing.

I'm looking for an LED EDC with thumb activated switch. I don't care so much about battery type but I would like it to be bright. I live in the country and it would be nice to at least see what it going on 100 yds away, even if it isn't perfectly illuminated. I have some bigger lights if I really need to see far away. Still, throw is important.

The problem I'm having while shopping is that all of the new lights have so many features that I don't want. I want a simple light, no strobes, beacons, etc. I want one button and I want it to do one thing, turn the light on.

What should I be looking at?

    Thanks for the help.

Check the zebralight SC600w. The sidebutton does more than one thing, but it can be simple. (just press and hold, it will turn on and start to go trough the modes, let go when you got the brightness you like).

I 2nd this. I have one with a high low ring as well so a slight twist will give you a nice low level as well. There are also a bunch of options for drop ins. I myself prefer a M61N.
