is this a good charger

hi there i found a "fast charger" for $10 at http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=47426
is this any good or might it nuke NiMh batteries (i have the Duracell Accu 1800)

I have a charger which is almost exactly the same and made by rat shack. I wouldn't recomend it because it fails to completely charge batteries and refuses to charge sometimes. I have a maha 401 and it has never failed to do what it is supposed to. I don't recomend this charger.

Are you talking about this RatShack charger, or this charger (or neither)? I ask because I have a couple of the "Fast Charger & Batteries Combo Pack" and I haven't had any issues with them.

sorry for not being more specific but it is the second charger. Mine is a silver version but identical. Sorry for the confusion.

Ah, no problem! I was concerned only because I have two of the chargers I mentioned and wanted to make sure they weren't the suspect model. I'll make sure I don't buy the second one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif (My next charger will probably be a Maha C777+ II or a C401FS anyway)
