Here are the kits I got in the mail yesterday.
OK, here is the kit for the V11R:
Detail of the new switch parts:
Here is the kit for the V10R Ti+:
Detail of the new switch parts (yup, same as with the other kit - which is expected):
New V10R switch parts on top, old ones (with my Bearing Brass ring) on the bottom - yes, host bored for the "fat" cell
I assembled the V10R Ti+ with the new parts, and on the right is the V11R "stock" (old/original parts):
Close up on the new (middle) vs. old parts (bottom):
No, you can't use the old Ti button cover with the new retaining ring - the retaining ring's ID is slightly larger than the OD on the Ti button cover:
Trying out the new screws on the clip:

You are welcome
In the prior post I show the kits I got for my V10R Ti+ and V11R. I installed the new kit in my V10R Ti+ to test it for a few days, and so far I can say that the new rubber kits "do" work, in that there is no longer metal to metal friction, but the button press is longer now and needs more force than before and it does not have the neat metal button in the middle. So far I still like the feel/operation and look of the metal button cover and the Delrin replacement ring, but my solution (Delrin kit) is a lot more expensive than the free kit from Sunwayman.
Which one is better? That is for each person to decide, but I feel the kit will be good enough for most folks (plus again, it is free) as it eliminated the single most frustrating part of these great lights - horrible sound from the original metal button cover and metal retaining ring.

sorry for noob question but would someone please tell me how to get the free rubber kit?

thanks
David
For us that bought the lights from a dealer, the dealer shipped the parts to us, in many cases without asking.
If you bought your light from a dealer go ahead and ask them first if they have the free kit that they can sent to you. Details on the kit on my website:
http://www.atdms.com/Sunwayman_kit_V10R_V11R.html
If you bought it from other source, Ebay, private party, etc., try to ask for the kit directly from Sunwayman.
Good luck,
Will

No problem, thanks for replying.
I have quick searched all five pages of this thread for the word "lubricant" without success, so I assume it hasn't come up in the discussion. After checking with SWM on the electrical suitability of dry spray lubricant, I experimented with a teflon spray (actually designed for bicycle chains). It penetrates the pores of the metal, reduces friction and stays put under extreme pressure and in this application really does provide a significant improvement in the action of SWM V10r Ti+ switch. The switch remains a funky, unfortunate aspect of an otherwise excellent flashlight design, but it can be improved this easily. Of course I'd love to buy a delrin ring but alas they are no longer available...and, according to Will, likely to remain so.

Hello Wquiles,
I would be interested in 2 Delrin retaining ring kits for Sunwayman V10R and V11R when or if you produce another batch.
Are you still producing the bearing bronze retaining rings?

Are the v10 delrin retaining ring kits still available? I'd like to get 2.
