Maratac copper cleaning

I have just aquired a maratac copper with full intention of polishing it to shine again, but now im stuck choosing to polish or not to polish. I do like the patina, but the color of polished copper is great. If only I could get another.

If I did I wasnt sure of the best thing to use for it if I wanted to clean it up nice.

The old nautical recipe of lime juice and salt works very well on copper and brass. It's cheap, easy and available almost anywhere.

Bar keepers friend cleaner works great. It will get patina again!!

Another recommendation for Bar Keeper's friend. This stuff is like magic. Works great on stainless steel, brass, copper, and probably more. I originally got it to clean my stainless steel pots, and was amazed at how well it works for that and other metals. It's non-abrasive, and CHEAP.
