Im building a 3d maglite with an XML. So I need a driver that puts out ~3-3.5a. I also want to run it off 3 li-ion cells so it needs to handle 12-13Vin. I'd also rather not have a disco mode. Maybe an SST-50 is a better choice? Or maybe something in the new Cree MT, MP or XB lines? Those look awesome. The MT-G and MP-L in particular.
Which brings me to my second question. What are some good 32600 li-ions or should I use spacers and 26/18 sized cells? I will be charging with jumpers off a pila ibc.
Any ideas?
