No Triple XM-L - not enough room in the head of a P60 I think. In fact do they make triple XM-L optics small enough? I think if you opened it up like a quad it might fit. Still that's a lot of heat!

Now that's a way to use multiple LEDs that I've never seen...I reckon some form of phase change cooling is going on in there. Didn't read it too much but looks interesting none-the-less.

Sadly no. A few reasons, but mainly technical, so if you want the drilled optics you'll have to give ThatSpec a buzz.

As far as know part of this has been done once before but the driver was very inefficent and the dropin was not really that great although I've never tried one myself. Don't worry Matt. That's all I'm saying.

Progress is being made but its painfully slow...much more so than I anticipated.

I am however making some progress so its not stagnant that's for sure. I might have some pics to show next week but don't hold your breath. Even then the tricky stuff hasn't even started yet *sigh *

In other news I've unfortunately been forced to hand machine my new heat sink design for prototyping. This isn't bad, just painful because my lathe skills are 'evolving' to say the least haha. I have made good progress however and hope to have something completed soon-ish.

Driver prototyping is going well. At a point now where I can order parts and have the PCBs manufactured. Took me approximately 10000000% longer than I expected to get to this point, but at least it's moving forward.
