Instead of starting a new thread and getting all the speculations from everyone, have you thought of sending Olight an email to ask this question? Wouldn't you get a better answer?

There's a upgrade module for the M20, but I couldn't find anything for the M21.

I don't believe an upgrade module is possible as unlike the M20, the module is non-removable and glued in the head (at least on mine). Try posting the q on their mfg thread on CPFMP.

My email to them regarding this question has still gone unanswered. Maybe on their thread there will be quicker turn around.
