It seems Cree is moving faster to bring the new LEDs on the market. Here is the first list of sites where you can buy the new Cree XB-D:

www.ledrise.com/leds/high-power-leds/f_1_cree-xb-d-2012/

2.39€ for one, with free shipping for orders of 10€ or more. Expect to wait 2-3 weeks to receive your order.

http://www.leds.de/High-Power-LEDs/...-R4-weiss-227-Lumen-ohne-Platine-Emitter.html

2.99€ for one and shipping is not free but they move a little faster to deliver.

In the rest i found only sites that sell 1000+, http://www.newark.com, http://components.arrow.com and so on...

Yeah, it looks like the R3 bin the highest one they currently stock.

Digikey has them too in low and high quantities. From what I heard from my Cree rep. they said that it was to actually replace the XP-E HEW not necessarily the XP-G (although it could i guess). They said something like XP-G performance for less than XP-E pricing.

Regardless, should be an interesting LED to watch as performance and technology increases.

I just ordered a few from Cutter Electronics in Australia. Shipping to the US will make you **** bricks, but they do have R4 bins in stock mounted on 20mm stars.
Also, the XB-D appears to be more a replacement for the XP-E, with the XT-E being an XP-G replacement.
