Question for a Surefire Expert or at least someone semi-knowledgeable about the 6PX-D

I have ordered a custom 6P size drop-in module with a green LED to use for spotting alligators on my lake at night. They aren't spooked by the green light for some reason. The drop-in is actually for my old 6P but I think I might want to order a 6PX-Defender. Will these accept a 6P size drop-in module?

Short answer; no.

6PX isn't a P60 host.

Instead of investing in a new light, you can swap out the glass retaining ring on 6P's head with a crenulated one. Something like Xeno ST02, ST03 or ST05 will do the trick. ST02 is hard to find, but ST03 and ST05 are available over at Oveready.
