Custom shorty maglites will now include 3.5A driver with my new signature UI.

Mode groups are switched by 8 fast clicks <.25 sec.
The driver has a low voltage flash at 3V to protect li-ion cells.
Upon entering the beacon mode there is a battery indicator flash. The light will quickly flash 1 time for each 0.1V above 3V and then enter the beacon mode.

I haven't used them before, but I dont see why not. The VF/current requirements appear to be about the same as other LEDs.

What do the CPF banner postings have to do with this thread?
Did you miss the part where I paid for an item that he listed on CPF Classifieds forum a week ago with no response? It is relevant to this thread because most people don't enjoy paying for things and not hearing from the seller for a week. Any other concerns?

Wow! Simplec6 I owe you an apology. I didnt realize you meant CPF market place. I have not logged in there until just now in many days.

This is entirely my fault. If you read in post #4 of my sales thread that member Kicken bright purchased the items you are referring to. I forgot all about editing the thread. I will do so immidiatly after this post.

I will make this up to you straight away. PM sent.

Re: FS: Shorty C/D 26650 Maglites + XML and more.

Hi VoB,

A couple of quick questions, I assume you are using incan mags for these and re-using the standard reflector? Is it possible to use a new rebel led model (DL serial number) as the host, the deeper reflector should provide some wicked throw. Can you frost the standard reflector?

Cheers,
Nova

Re: FS: Shorty C/D 26650 Maglites + XML and more.

JeffN and Simplec6, orders have shipped. Thanks again.

Nova, Yes standard mags are used. Yes I can use a Rebel. I could either use the light body from an LED mag or I can just stick the heat sink down into the neck of a standard mag farther and use a deep rebel reflector. I have experimented with "frosting" plastic reflectors before. Its a somewhat common CPF practice to do whats know as "sputtering" ( basically using clear paint to create an uneven surface) The results with this are ok, certainly not as good as with a true MOP reflector but it does soften the beam with some decrease in brightness.

Vob, awesome machining on the shorty Mag D and really nice tailcap solution. Very nice products, the C-mag heatsink is really good fitwise as well. I will be ordering more stuff soon.
