Best battery for outside sensor, Alkaline AA vs Lithium AA
Hi Guys,
I just got recieved an Oregon weather clock as a present,
It came with a sensor, which is placed outside, it sends weather data and the time to the clock inside.
Here's my question, it came with a standard Alkaline AA battery, do you think I would be better off putting in an Energizer lithium AA battery.
Especially as once the sensor is placed on my window, I'd like to forget about it, and for winter months I believe the Lithium would be better. Not too sure if the Alkaline would give any better runtime though.

Also not sure if this is the correct thread, maybe the battery thread would be better, but it is a non-flashlight item, mods please move if you feel i'll get a better response!

I use lithium primaries in all of my outdoor sensors. They can take the heat and the cold and don't leak. Alkaline's can't take the heat or the cold and are liable to leak from the heat of summer. Alkalines start to fizzle out at 35F and get worse as the temperature drops from there.
