Thanks all! One place trits can be found HERE but I'll probably wait for TGWNN to have them...
Will you possibly have any other size trits (since you are getting the 2x6 anyway...) Like maybe 1.5 x 6 and 1.5 x 5.5?

Cool. I'm probably going to preorder 1 more HF, and I'd like to get my hands on 2 green and 2 blue 2x6 and 4 green 1.5x6....
EDIT - I just preordered another HF - this time in blasted Ti. I'm hopeless. But these are too cool. I want to thank CPF member "Zandar" for pointing me to these - I'd missed it completely up until now!

Jc, with your choice of flashlights thank goodness you didn't miss out on these. I'm sure they will be on par with some of the nice ones you love like the spy and the alpha......I hope. Just a wee bit more affordable.

Your welcome tgwnn, I'm about to give in as well, I've been waiting for the "Torpedo" but run4jc's preorder is giving me the "itch". I'll wait for the trit option before ordering! And I might add, your famous as the "Guy With No Name" , why give up this lofty title for a "real name".

Hi Everyone,
I added a Pre-order FAQ to the website, with a link next to every order button.
Hoping that will ease things a little. Any and all suggestions for additional questions are most welcome.
tgwnn
Could you quote that paper and/or give a source for it? The figures that B@rt is giving indicate differences that are somewhat smaller. I also have big trits in green, yellow and orange, and while the green is the brightest, the difference is not that great (by eye or in photo histogram). Orange seems to be visually dimmer, but between yellow and green, the difference is subtle.
It would be interesting to see actual data.
Hi Esko,
Thanks very much for clarifying that.
Sorry, I was referring to Bart's chart.
My manufacturer claims a difference scale of
100:687
where 100 is the least bright color
and 687 is the brightest.
They measure in uL (micro lumen).
I sent a mail to check for any data sheets and I'll let you know when I hear back.

JulianP, I respectfully disagree, I'm still partial 'to the guy with no name' as a title, not so much as an acronym . zandar
Hi TGWNN,
I just placed an order for the MBI HF - Titanium - Blasted [Cree XM-L U2], (also the basic charger) looking forward to testing out this amazing light, please keep me posted on Trits. Also had a random questions about trits: from your experience are all green trits of the same size and shape the same brightness, or do you notice that some glow a bit brighter than others due to minor differences in the manufacturing process?
Esko,
I received a reply as follows:
Microlamberts Colour
70 uL Blue
320 uL Green
100 uL Red
200 uL White
Some of the numbers seemed a little strange so they are re-checking and I'll let you know about it.
tgwnn
Just place another order for a brass with XM-L U2 emitter. Transaction ID: 3G937538PE489044T
You'll have to let me know what I owe you for the neutral white change on the other one as well as the trits. Prob blue trits in the ti light and green ones in the brass. Serial number of no importance, whatever's next.
Thank you again!![]()
Yeah, however you'd like to continue with official trit orders and upgrade to neutral prices I'm good with. I'll wait so I don't flood you with random order changes.

I am having such a hard time not ordering a second one. My mind says "DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!" and my wallet says "WAIT! Hes gonna do the neutral xml's in seperate heads eventually!"
Im happy to hear you will be able to get a little R and R after the CoreTis are done being shipped, you deserve a breakIm also excited to hear about the trit options. I hope you didnt have to spend money and time getting a permit or license to be able to acquire and sell/install the trits for us. Thank you again for all your time and effort, I really appreciate what you have done for us.

Hi DBC,
Thanks very much.
Planning to sort that out next week and I'll set up some sort of automated system to keep it streamlined.
Hi Alex,
Thanks very much.
Hi GrimCreaper,
Thanks for the kind words.
Please do take your time and listen carefully to your wallet.
I don't plan on ending my career with the HF
Just getting back to a normal (sleep sometime after 2am instead of sunrise) routine will be ample relaxation
For the trits, to clarify, I won't officially be selling any but I will arrange the option so you can purchase them and have them installed on your behalf. I confirmed the amount of tritium in the 2mmx6mm is within the allowable range here for personal use/ownership.
Technically, I'm not going to sell the trits, rather I will arrange a 3rd party installation service that can include the trits for you.
Practically speaking though, this will be seamless and transparent so all you have to do is let me know the color, etc.
when the time comes.
Hi GL,
About 50% of mails address me as "Guy", 30% as "tgwnn", 5% as "No Name", 5% as "Nameless One" and the rest just random name calling
tgwnn
Hi Guy,
Thanks
So my question is when will you design, develop, manufacture, and sell the Only in the World
Flashlight with No Name, or the FWNN??? My HF's are going to need companions . . .
GL
Neutrālisflashaholic
Hi GL,
maybe one day I'll make tfwnn
I received a photo of trits that were all produced in the same month to give a relative indication of brightness
Also, I sent out a mail earlier to everybody who has placed an order to say that the workshop is running behind schedule as they have been busy finishing the last batch of CoreTi's according to my stricter QA instruction. I adjusted the estimated shipping date to September 30. I'm sorry about the delay.
They may finish the Ti's sooner than that but I wanted to let you know asap.
Also, I have added a "status" page to the website so you can "at a glance" check on the development status of any product when you are in a hurry:
MBI Development Status
Thanks,
tgwnn
That dark orange would probably go nicely with the copper, but green definitely has the nuclear power look and so does the deep blue. I'd like to see a picture of the copper prototype when you get it![]()
I like the idea of the development status page; very neat and simple![]()
Cataract,
Shiny things specialist.
Hi Cataract,
Thanks very much.
Expecting the Copper proto next week and of course, I'll post a proto.
It will be my first copper light too!
The dev status page, yes I think when everyone's in a hurry and you want to quickly glance at where things are at, its an easy solution. You can always enjoy the cpf threads when you have a few spare moments
tgwnn
No worries on the 2 week delay. That works better for me anyway as I would have been on holidays when they were supposed to have arrived, that would have just killed me , thinking that a light was sitting in my mail box when I was 1,200 miles away.
When do we need to add the trits to our orders?
maybe i should read the FAQs
I still like the idea of a Nut & Bolt shaped light for possibly another one of your creations.
Partially because you could name it something like:
Screw U ( U for User Interface)
The lightning bolt symbol with a torch at one end. Sort of like Prince with no written name.
Oh Nutz with the Z being a lightning bolt.
I don't want any royalties, just a discount when you name it![]()
Thanks for the numbers and the photo. Those numbers match with the chart B@rt provides. I believe it is safe to assume that the other colors should match, too.
I believe my preference would be ice blue, if available.
<OT>
Another thing that would be interesting to know (although completely irrelevant for locator trits) is which colors are made using single phosphors, and which ones are mixtures. I have seen a macro photograph of green, orange and ice blue trits and the ice blue one seemed to have 2 different phosphors (green and blue). I am assuming that yellow might be a mixture, too (and of course white also). In some test photos I took last year, the color renderings of green and orange were poor, but the color rendering of yellow was surprisingly good.
