I have a Sunwayman T20CS, but dont have a TK35. You can tell a difference in the brightness between the 2 lights there. Its not a huge difference, but its noticeable. The T20Cs only runs on 1 - 18650 though, whereas the TK35 runs on 2- 18650 last I looked at the catalog.

Do you like the TK35? Which of those 2 lights do you like better overall?

Next, and this is completely unrelated to lights, but how do you upload pictures that will flash back and forth between 2 or more pictures like that?

    Thanks, Patrick

Also, I see the Victorinox box there. Is that the Victorinox Hungarian Army knife? Speaking of knives, I just ordered a Himalayan Imports Nepalese Kukri knife last night. I got the 18" World War II model in wood handle.

Thank you guys, added some new pictures

    HighlanderNorth,

Yes, not a huge difference, T20CS 658 lumens Fenix 860, but Fenix is fully regulated with two 18650, Sunwayman runtime is not fully regulated, but I really like my T20CS. I like the battery indicator and side switch. You know, I use this light with industrial unprotected cells, so, the battery indicator is very useful.
Of course this TK35 U2 is awesome. This is my first new gen Fenix flashlight. Very bright, very good quality, excellent runtime, nice beam quality, clean reflector and lens, no fingerprint or dust. Nice holster. I really like TK35 design, side by side battery tube, much better for me than other "normal" 2x18650 lights.

"Next, and this is completely unrelated to lights, but how do you upload pictures that will flash back and forth between 2 or more pictures like that?"

I made this picture with photo editor software, this is a simple gif picture, but I can't write how can I do it. Unfortunately too complicate for me in english, sorry.

This is not a box, this is a Victorinox catalogue , I'm a big victorinox fan, but I have only one Spartan and one Climber. I would like a white SwissChamp sometime in future..

    I hope understand.

Thanks for sharing, gopajti. V2 seems to be a decent successor to this line of lights - brutal power and finesse combined

You can try some of the online tools, just google "gif animation online" or such. They're all pretty straightforward and easy to use. Animation is then uploaded like an ordinary .gif image file.

    Cheers

Hey gopajti, would you recommend getting the t20cs or the t40cs and get that in addition to the tk35?

i was also considering getting this:

    T40CS, T20CS, or T60CS
    +
    TK35
    +
    SR92 (olight)

I like fenix, but decided against the TK70 because it uses D cells and it looks like a toilet plunger

Now that is a nice improvement, especially for those who use the TK35 under work conditions.

Nice. Now if they only got rid of those screws. They will rust if submerged underwater, at least with the T TK53

I have been considering this light for a few days now and have been consistantly tempted to pull the trigger and just buy it; like it or not. (I'm thinking I'll like, but that's besides the point.) My question for you though, what 18650 batteries are you using? None of my current lights can accept them, so I'm totally new to that style/size of battery.

Oh, and the pictures look great - soooo tempting...

    Thanks.

    Olight SR51 vs TK35 U2

^^WOW! Looking at that comparison between the TK35 and the Olight SR51 could've been stressful, because I almost bought the SR51 just 2-3 days ago.... I was choosing between the Fenix TK41, TK60, Olight SR51, Sunwayman T40CS, and the Eagletac M3C4 XM-L(single XM-L, not the 3-XM-L version). I stressed over these choices for days, and finally decided on the Fenix TK41, which I ordered Sunday night. But I was very close to buying the SR51, and the only thing that prevented it was that the SR51 has only 2 modes, with a low of 250L, whereas I wanted a low of around 80-100L, and I like the TK41's UI and switches better.

Now that I look at the comparison between the beam qualities of the TK35 vs. the SR51, it seems I made the correct choice NOT to buy the SR51....... The difference in overall brightness between the 2 lights in Gopajti's latest post is striking. These 2 lights are supposed to be about equal in brightness. But there seems to be a bigger difference in brightness between the SR51 and TK35 than there was between the T20CS and TK35, and the SR51 has twice the battery power of the T20CS, but seems actually less bright in comparison!

I had been considering the TK35 for about 6 months, but decided to buy lights with almost the same brightness while only needing 1-18650 instead of 2-18650's. But these comparisons show that the TK35 has nice throw, but also a seemingly great, floody spill beam. When you compare the runtimes, it has comparable run times with the 1-18650 lights that generally run around 600-700L for 1 hour, while the TK35 runs at 860L for 1.5 hours. Thats not bad.

Great! Now I've got another light on my list of "wants".....

That's actually a pretty good price for those batteries. I have the AW 2900 mah batteries and paid almost $20 a piece. Now there's a 3100 mah cell for that cost and I would pay the extra cost for the extra capacity, but still not a bad price for the Fenix 18650.

After much research and consideration I have come to the conclusion that the Fenix TK35 U2 is the best all around flashlight for my needs. But I was very hesitant at first to make the purchase for fear of losing on the green tint lottery. Luckily I found a vendor who was very accommodating who chose for me their best available white tint TK35 U2. I have never been so happy. Hopefully this will encourage others to do the same to avoid the dreaded green tint LED.

By the way, do you guys think that the $15 difference of the Fenix TK35 U2 from the first version is reasonable?

Id go for the U2. I have the T6 and I'm not going to sell it and buy the U2 but if I was buying a TK35 for the first time id grab the U2.

not to nitpick but looking at these pictures, you could have wished fenix included a better holster which protects the light better.

Agreed, now especially since the LED has been upgraded. The TK35 is my favorite flashlight for sure.
