Default Looking for an inexpensive 18650 cell powered light

Just looking for an inexpensive LED light that is powered by one 18650 cell, has a flood to throw tip on it, high, low, and strobe. Would be neat if it had a built in charge port too. Ideas? Not looking to spend much more than about $40 or so. I recently bought such a light but wound up giving it to a close friend. Now I am finding myself in dire need of such a light again to add to my collection

Also doesn't have to be stupid bright either (at least 100 lumens), but that's always a bonus.

whenever I'm in the mood for a cheap light i head over to dealextreme in hong kong. shipping takes forever but they have alot of stuff. some good, some bad.

i needed to change some surefire lights to accept an 18650 cell last year, i ended up getting some solarforce l2 host bodies from lighthound that are compatible with the surefire lamp and tail cap. so you can kind of build your own.

Yeah not too into building my own stuff, kind of want a "plug and play" light. I have been searching on DE, haven't a clue what is really good on there which is why I'm asking for some suggestions.

I'm liking what I see... Ideas on where to get 18650 cells and a charger inexpensively? (not cheap, inexpensively)

can't help you there. i bought soshine brand, they do well. 2800mah. suggest starting a different thread or doing some searches. plenty of people talk about 18650s

maybe email bryan at shiningbeam. he will help you.

Shining Beam gets my vote, too. Bryan carries a variety of inexpensive lights, including some 18650 flood-to-throw models. Check it out, you may find exactly what you want there.

I got mine in the mail today too and I totally agree. The scratch and dent isn't damaged at all. the light is bulletproof, looks great and feels as solid as a light costing 4x as much. Even for $60 (full price). This light is GREAT!

I had the blaze out last night.
Solarforce L2 5 mode T6 XML Solarforce drop in
    4Sevens 1232 Turbo X

The blaze does outthrow the Solarforce But my 4Seven slightly outthrows the blaze.
Its what i would have expected.
The blaze head is slightly deeper and larger than the solarforce only by a couple mm
The blaze head is slightly smaller than the Quark Turbo X about a quarter inch

All three i think use the T6 XML but the Blaze reflector is LOP while the other two are smooth.
The blaze does not get hot at all itsheatsink is great.

I agree, its great. Throws maybe a little more than an Olight M20S-X (Olight box stated around 200m to 0.25 lux). I would say medium throw. However, it has VERY useful spill.
