I'd like one that could run off rechargeable AAs, but I know nothing of spotlights so just getting a rechargeable one could be good enough.

It needs to seriously out-throw a TK20

something budgety... walmartish..

LED if at all possible

TK41 8xAA's/over budget, Stanley Fat MAX/rechargeable, Deree Light Javelin? Maybe a 2D led Mag with NiMh D cells?

+1 for the Stanley FatMax. ~700 lumens and lots of throw.

Although honestly, even a stock MagLED is a decent spotlight for the money. It's a lot heavier than the FatMax though.

The TK-20 does around 6000 lux @ 1m. A light that throws twice as far would need to do at least 24,000 lux. All the big headed xm-l throwers should easily do this.
