Mod a T100C2 (original version)? Any experience?

Hi all. Looking for some help.

I have an EagleTac T100C2 original version. It was my first "quality" flashlight. I have since acquired a Xeno EO3 and a Zebralight SC600. These new lights give me great room/area brighteners. However, there are times I would like to have a thrower. The T100C2 was pretty good in its day, but is way behind the curve these days. Has anyone modded one of these with a newer emitter?

I'd appreciate any help anyone could pass along. What did you put in, how was the mod done, was it easy/difficult? I would like to keep the high/low capability of the current light. I would like to be able to accomplish this without expending the same money as buying a new light (this is a case of less ($) is more ).
