Any thoughts or chance that these will be upgraded with the new XM-L2's?

I will if I end up making another batch. The lights are not moving very fast right now and I still have 140 in stock.

i think you need more exposure on these things. part of the reason they arent selling is not many know they exist, though im not sure how you could go about getting the word spread without spending more money....
Is there any possibility on volume order discounts or is it $300/ea firm?
you might sell more if you do some sort of volume discount....

I for one have reposted your info and linked your site on a couple truck forums I'm on. Vision X and Rigid Industries products are popular among the pickup crowd, so I wanted to offer another option, and help your cause .

$300 is a bit steep imho especially for those wanting a pair

Don't know Bigtoy302's particular situation, but I can see a number of reasons why these are priced as such:

Comparable equipment from name brands priced somewhat similar
    Low volume
Bigtoy302 fronted the upfront cash to get these built (housing design plus custom PCB)
Appears to be excellent design work that went into these (design talent that could have gone into a job that paid upfront)
Appreciable machine time (similar to the design talent, could have gone into piece work with a direct paycheck attached)
Oh, and Bigtoy302 may well want to make some sort of profit

If it's not for you, vote with your wallet.
I apologize that this letter is so long; I did not have time to write a short letter

I do not disagree with you that he wants to make a profit, lights are well made, and he fronted up money to build these...I merely pointing out that spending $300 on lights isn't feasible for me and maybe others. Now if I had money to burn, I'd buy a pair because I'm CDO and gotta have everything symmetrical...

CDO? I that like OCD but with dyslexia?

If I had a few extra bucks and was working on one of our offroad rigs right now, I'd sure be interested. <sigh> Maybe later.

Not dyslexia, CDO is in proper alphabetical order

I think you're on to something with the singles. One question though, wouldn't they benefit from having the sink fins horizontal instead of vertical? Might not matter as I think your prototype looks cooler that way. If you don't mind sharing, how much would it cost to get a pair of those singles milled without any of the guts? I have been searching for a good waterproof led housing and haven't been able to find one.

Also you should show these suckers off on the adv rider forums, its right in the wheelhouse of dual sport riders.

You should consider looking up Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser forums...currently lots of group buys for Chinese light bars. You could explain why the XM-L is a superior LED, lumens, etc. Most of these sites have vendor sections, and or parts for sale sections.

Evidently, it's more difficult (and costly) machining the piece that way. He says they work quite well as they are, even at low speeds.

LOL! I'm going to lay that one on my wife. I'm always teasing her about being OCD, lining up all the cans in her pantry by contents and brand, orienting the labels front, etc.

Not yet. I am still in the planning stage. I am waiting for another reflector to show up so I can try that one.
