I packed in:
Vector BFL 192 (2 - 100w)
Barn Burner (80W)
Homemade Mod (100w)
Mule (80w)
Battery Junction - L35
I was short a homemade 100W due to a ballast problem, but I packed enough light for the big rooms.
Re: HIDs plus Binkley Cave, southern Indiana, July 2012
Any flashlight is better than the sheets of tar that I used while exploring caves solo as a kid,
one time, due to miscalculation, my Tar run out before I could make it back, really freaked me out.

Dude...That is old school!
.
If you run out of light in a cave, you're usually toast until someone comes in to find you. There's no way you could make it out without a light.
.
I did run into someone caving once using a coleman lantern. They took out the glass and put in a tin foil reflector. They were pretty deep in the cave. I wouldn;t be too comfortable with that type of technology underground
